Maybe it is just me, but this solution does not work in C# at least.  It seems to have some errors in the code (the .sln file is from December 2006).  Other solutions that I have checked so far seem to work ok.

Are you having trouble compiling and running? I just ran it without any problem!

Ben:

I had some compile-time errors (and a bunch of warning about XML comments).  I couldn't successfully run the BO builder for that app, either -- it crashed with weird errors.  I was able to browse data in the tables with SQL server manager, so I know there is data in there.  I don't know -- maybe the samples didn't refresh, who knows?  It is a bit tiresome, though, trying to fish through errors and code problems.  I have modified the code to get rid of the errors and I can't remember what the heck they were.

But if it runs at your site, it must be the sample apps having gotten out of synch on my system, somehow...

Pertti;

Did you say the solution was from Dec. 2006? Because my solution shows May, 14th 2007. What about the dates on the other solutions, mine are all 2007. Some Feb, April or July.

Perhaps, you delete that whole directory and re-install SF!

Hmmm...  It could well be that the samples didn't refresh for some odd reason.  I hesitate to delete folder(s) for fear that it breaks something else and then I'm dead in the water, but maybe an SF rep could put these fears to rest.  So: what is the best way to make sure I have the latest sample app code (specifically for C#).  I've installed the latest update twice already.

Thanks!

Pertti,

Just delete the Samples folder and then re-install StrataFrame to put them all back out there.  The warnings are nothing to worry about.  We use a converter to move samples from VB.NET to C# and the project settings show any property without an XML comment as a warning.  So this is nothing to worry about.  However, you will not have a problem with just deleting the Samples folder altogether and then re-installing StrataFrame to put them back out there.  Hope that helps Smile

Thanks, Trent.  Is this the recommended way to do an update in general?  If not, I wonder why my samples didn't refresh automatically...

No.  Generally the files are overwritten.  I will check the install and make sure that it is flagged to "overwrite."
