Windows Authentication

We have customers using windows authentication feature in role based security and it's worked perfectly, however since 1.6 or 1.61, (I'm not sure), the role based security password change dialog is appearing asking the users to change the password even though the windows authentication box is checked.  They have to change the password to get past the screen, but when they log back in they still have to use their windows password.

When using Windows authentication do we need to check 'Password never expires' ?

Thanks,

Tim

I'm not sure if the password expiration is also tied to the Use Windows Authentication.  The windows auth should basically assume password never expires, but it might not be right now... oversight on our part.  However, if you check the password never expires part, then yes, it won't ask them to change their password any more.

I'll check and make sure this gets included in 1.6.2.  Thanks.

Yeah, we just got bit by this one too... Obviously not a biggie but somehow makes users wonder how cool this really cool subsystem is... Crying

If I were one of them I would say "very cool", considering all the features. Smile

I will bump this up to the guys to have a look. Thanks for the heads up.

lol I think you have different users... It's not the 99 cool features we hear about, it's the 1 small, illogical flaw that will live on and be repeated every time we talk about why we want to do more StrataFrame development!

Thanks!

Oh, that is an easy deal, just go on and on about the other 99. Tongue
