Hi!

I have problems as well. I wanted to update my build to 1.4.1 (BTW: May be it would be a good idea to show the build number of the current install somewhere. May be in the Licence Activation Window?).

During install I got the message that there is already installed a copy and it can't install it again I should deinstall StrataFrame first.

I there anything I missed? Is it correct, that I have to deinstall the old copy first? If yes, sorry but this option does keep a low proflie to me...

Thanks in advance!

Yes, Stefan, right now you have to uninstall the old version of the framework, and then install the new version.  You DO NOT, however need to delete the StrataFrame database when you uninstall, so you won't loose any of your business object mapper, DDT, or messaging settings.  When you install the new version, you will need to go ahead and choose to deploy the database as there is generally at least a minor adjustment to the SQL Server structure.

We're working on moving the install to InstallShield, which has much better upgrade potential than .NET's setup project, but too many things get "out of whack" when you upgrade.

fookyean,

As for the deployment data problem, I changed the date formats over to the DateTimeFormat.InvariantInfo, so on the next build, you won't have to change your settings to get it to install properly.
