Selection of Strataframe version

We need to be able to be able to control the version that a user is able to download.  The issue is that there appears to be no option for this, the only choice available seems to be the latest version and this may differ from the version that other users may have.

We have outsourced developers in many countries and we need to ensure they are all working with the same release for obvious reasons.  We have discovered that this is currently not the case.  We are rectifying this by updating globally to 1.6.5, however I am aware that you have 1.6.6 in beta version and at some point this will become the main release.

I need to ensure that, should a new team member join when 1.6.5 has been superseded, that they can get this version as all other users will be on it.  Currently I do not believe I can do this.

Please advise.  Thanks.

The MyAccount area will always have the most recent version of StrataFrame. For your needs, I'd recommend downloading the current 1.6.5 release and putting it on a network drive (or on your own web space for off-site developers) that you have control over. You could then have all of your developers, both in house and out, install strataframe from your controlled location without having to worry that someone grabbed the wrong version off of the website.

That way you can take whatever time you need after the official release of 1.6.6 before rolling it out to your developers. But, for the record, I wouldn't hesitate to tell you to start using the 1.6.6 beta sooner rather than later. We're using it in production now as are quite a few current StrataFrame users, so it is a reliable build. Smile
