Browse Dialog, RegEx and Customize DateTime

Hello!

I'm new to Straframe and need to customize a browse dialog, more specifically the column for DateTime. Currently appears something like dd / mm / yyyy hh: mm: ss and need only to dd / mm / yyyy.
From what I understand, you must use RegEx for this, but I can not find me to do this. What should I do to customize this column?

All suggestions are welcome.

Eduardo,

First, welcome to the StrataFrame forums! In regards to your question, the good news is that the date is going to be configurable in any circumstance here.

1. If you are referring to the search fields, then this will actually be pulled from the globalization settings on the machine.

2. If you are referring to the display in the results, you don't actually need to use RegEx, just do the following within your results layout for the date field:

{0:dd/MM/yyyy}

You would obviously replace the "0" with the appropriate field in your display fields. Also, when you apply formatting for a month in any area of .NET, a capital "MM" will give you month values where a lower case "mm" will give you minutes. Just FYI.

Thanks Trent, worked perfectly! BigGrin

Is there a session in Strataframe documentation that demonstrates how to customize the Format String?
I'm also booted in VB.NET (I was Clarion programmer) and I do not know if this is a feature of Strataframe or VB.NET

Really this is just a .NET thing. But it is something that you will see us go over from time to time on the forum as well as training sessions. Before you ask, we have not yet scheduled the next training class...but be on the lookout on the website BigGrin

Enjoying the brazilian beaches... yeah, right, if only... Tongue

Just going mad around here, Edhy. Miss being active on the Forum, bu I was dealing with some other projects last year that kept me away from my .NET developing projects. Anyway, back to the desktop.

Hope you are doing well!

Glad to here you are back. I am doing very good actually, improving my .Net skills every day and with a project currently under beta testing and moving forward. can't wait to see the new stuff coming soon from SF.
