Unable to deactivate trial

Hello, -

New to Strataframe, just purchased and am trying to deactivate / uninstall the trial version and activate the licensed version.

Uninstalled the trial version (did not deactive first), and then installed the licensed version.

Upon install of the licensed version, the activation client indicates that I have a trial version installed and asks if I want to deactivate.  I indicate "yes", then close out all files and re-start the activation client either from the Start Menu or from within Visual Strudio on the Strataframe menu.  In either case, the client still indicates that the trial version is installed and asks me if I want to deactivate.  Endless loop ensues, where the trial version always indicates as activated, I'm always asked whether I want to deactivate, and so on.  Re-booting / re-starting makes no difference in this behavior.

Am I missing something simple?  Is this perhaps caused by not deactivating the trial version before uninstalling?   In any case, any suggestions on how to get out of this?  I've searched the forum and read other posts related to trial version deactivation, but none seem quite like this scenario.

The trial version expires on Monday the 7th, so maybe at that point I will be able to activate the purchased license?

Thanks for your help!

Yours,

Mark

We have recently made some changes to the Activiation client to ensure the license file is removed.  You can try one of two things since you do not have the updated EXE.  First, open C:\WIndows\Assembly and see if you can delete the "MicroFour License" from the GAC.  If not, we can create you a manual activation this first time and when you install the next update this issue will not exist.  Sorry for any trouble Ermm
