You DO NOT, however need to delete the StrataFrame database when you uninstall, so you won't loose any of your business object mapper, DDT, or messaging settings. When you install the new version, you will need to go ahead and choose to deploy the database as there is generally at least a minor adjustment to the SQL Server structure.

We're working on moving the install to InstallShield, which has much better upgrade potential than .NET's setup project, but too many things get "out of whack" when you upgrade.

RE: Can not install SF 1.4.1

Hi!
I have problems as well. I wanted to update my build to 1.4.1 (BTW: May be it would be a good idea to show the build number of the current install somewhere. May be in the Licence Activation Window?).

During install I got the message that there is already installed a copy and it can't install it again I should deinstall StrataFrame first.

I there anything I missed? Is it correct, that I have to deinstall the old copy first? If yes, sorry but this option does keep a low proflie to me...
Thanks in advance!

RE: Can not install SF 1.4.1

I found the solution in previous post, now it has successfully installed. :D

Can not install SF 1.4.1

I try install the SF 1.4.1 but it tell me there is an error occur during deploy StrataFrame Data and it halt (the progress bar is stop), then i terminate the install window and a message come out :

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package.
