Like to have access to my boss'es account (It shows my co-worker, but not me).

Don't seem to have any options to add existing user to the account (anthony.pecerrillo)

Do we have this option, or do you guys need to do something?

When I tried to register the 1.5 version, it went to the "trial mode" key, rather than the "company account" (which was opened by Anthony)

For now, I'll try to specify the DLL, but would be easier to show the accounts correctly

RE: Licensing, account not correct

No you are right...you can set filters, but it only works so well. Additionally, the VS2005 is actually quite a bit slower. So to each his own :) Either way, you will have your choice.

Trent L. I felt more confortable with the CHM help.

One thing I found difficult in the integrated help was to search in the StrataFrame docs only. It's probably my lack of knowledge on how to do it.

RE: Licensing, account not correct

Note taken ;) We were already planning on making it available. But it takes 19 hours to compile it when the class library is included. So it was more of a time issue :)

Trent L.
Down on the bottom it shows 2 forum accounts, one for him and one for fparker

My hope was to not need to know his password, and be able to link mine in under his account for the license.

And it's no problem for him to verify it, if that's what it takes ;)

(FYI I log in with his account, so probably a forum post wouldn't be a very good verification method, but if that's all it takes, not a problem)

And as another note, I don't have access to the help, it appears. I had unstalled the prior help file, and now don't have it within the VS2005 help area. (Now I'm down to 3 SQL Server 2005 areas, and a Help on Help within the help section)
RE: Licensing, account not correct

This is not the way trial accounts or real accounts work. An account is just an account, trial or otherwise. When you say your co-worker shows up under your bosses, I do not know what you mean unless you are referring to a forum account. But as for activating your product, you must use your bosses account unless he sends us confirmation to transfer a single license to your account.

The same process is used for activations and de-activations. To better understand how this works, refer to the documentation in the Application Framework Help file. Look under
Licensing and Activation -> Activating StrataFrame

and

Licensing and Activation -> Deactivating StrataFrame
RE: Licensing, account not correct

I created an account before we purchased the licenses.

Then my boss created a new account, through which we purchased 2 licenses. He created a 3rd account, for the other developer that will be using the license (Boss will NOT be using a license)

So now have 3 accounts, if I log in with boss's account, see the other developer under his account, but I'm not there.

When using the DLL to license, no issue, didn't really matter that "my" account isn't referred to within his, but the "trial" registration that I had was applied to the 1.5 install.

I then made the mistake of using my account, which system doesn't consider to have purchased. So it got the "trial account", and it has dated out.

So two issues, one is that I need to un-activate (that's a different post), second is I need to re-activate. But I don't see any way to add an existing account under my boss's (Tony). When I try to add, it just eats it (I tried creating a new account also, that didn't seem to work).

So within magic account management system, would like mine to be linked under bosses, to be able to access the licenses we purchased.

RE: Licensing, account not correct

Jim,

I am a little confused on your post. First of all, you no longer need the custom license file as a download. Just run the activation client to get your new license. As for showing you instead of your boss (or co-worker), are you referring to a forum account?

Trent L.
