I would definitely get the framework, DDT, and Security to start off.

RE: StrataFrame Purchase
justalex (04/06/2007)
What Products do I need 2 buy from you in order to make a full windows based application (windows forms only) later I will want to migrate it to web and then use the application both sides: Windows and web based
Alex, before I tried and bought SF, I had the same question. The answer to DDT became clear right away, that you should have from start, but I wasn't sure whether I should get the security module.

The folks at SF were very helpful with answering many questions while trying the product and reading he help. The more I learned, the more I realized, it's best to design and develop your app with security-built in mind. If you truly do not need any security, the SF and DDT are sufficient to start with.

hope that helps!

p.s. I forgot to mention something minor. It's a great product! :)

RE: StrataFrame Purchase

> What Products do I need 2 buy from you in order to make a full windows based application

All of them of course..:)

I would recommend the Framework and the Database Deployment toolkit at a minimum. The DDT is a huge bonus if you use SQL but can be useful if you don't. If you need any type of Security for your application then the Role-Based security application is a very popular module and can add much strength to an application.

The Enterprise Server is an amazing addition to the StrataFrame family. It is a datalayer that implements a smart-client application. You can design your application today and simply change its datasource (6 lines of code) later and be operating in a web-server environment. The developer SDK for ES is free so it is not necessary to make any decisions initially.

If you need any further information our sales department will be more than happy to help. sales@strataframe.net

Thanks,

Steve

Steve L.
