Error when setting a FormView DataSourceID to a WBBS

I have a web form with a WBBS control and a FormView control. In the designer, when I set the DataSourceID of the FormView control to the WWBS, I get the following error:

Error setting value 'ApplicationWBBS' to property 'DataSourceID'. Details: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at MicroFour.StrataFrame.Extensibility.WebBusinessBindingSourceDesigner.GetView(String viewName)

Any idea on what would cause this error?
