It is a permission issue on your computer that is preventing you from adding assemblies to the GAC. This isn't a StrataFrame issue, it is a configuration issue on your machine, the specific cause of which is not easily diagnosed over a forum (I would if I could).

Is there a system administrator or something of the like on your end that can take a look at your machine for you?

RE: Drag and Drop fails in windows server 2008

Hi Taylor,

Yes I got this Permission issue. Because through local Administrator it possible to add.

Can you give some solution to fix this if possible.

RE: Drag and Drop fails in windows server 2008

Sorry to sound redundant, but it sounds as though your user doesn't have access rights to the .dll file or to the GAC :). I'd double check to make 100% sure that you are indeed logged in as administrator. Even if you are, however, it is possible to explicitly deny access to locations. You might check the folder permissions on both the Windows folder, and on the folder that contains the DLL to make sure you are not explicitly denied.

Regardless, this is definately a permissions issue.

RE: Drag and Drop fails in windows server 2008

Well, I can guarantee you that this is a permissions issue. If you can't add a file to the GAC...well, there is not much in regards to the framework that I can do to help. You will need to have permission to update the GAC...not having admin permissions can lead to other problems as well. But that is where you will want to look.

Trent L.
