I know the SF guys recommends this one: http://www.red-gate.com/products/sql_backup/index.htm

Please provide some feedback.

Thanks,

Doron

RE: Looking for some ms sql 2008 backup software

Hi Doron,

I began using it when I was working at a bank here in the UK. I then took it and implemented it at the next bank I worked for. Overall I have used SQL Backup succesfully for about the last 9 years.

You won't be sorry, and both Trent and I will be proven correct.

best

Geoff

RE: Looking for some ms sql 2008 backup software
Some of their tools are great, but did you actually work with their sql backup tool?
I am not sure if Geoff has, but we have and we have really been pleased....but I may have already said that :D

Trent L. It also revealed just how GOOD the SF code it. :)

Going back to SQL Server, the SQL Toolbelt is definately worth taking a look at.

regards

Geoff.

RE: Looking for some ms sql 2008 backup software

You can use the standard SQL backup and there are a lot of options here depending on whether you are running in SIMPLE or FULL transaction modes. But we still recommend the one you specified:

http://www.red-gate.com/products/sql_backup/index_2.htm

We have been very pleased with this product.

Trent L.
