Ideally i'd like to have all 4 on my development machine. Tried recompiling an app (using Sql Server CE) (not SF) but got some errors.

RE: Sql Server Vs 2005 and 2008 coexist

Yes, you can do it. It can be a headache getting SQL Server 2005 / 2008 to co-exist in some instances...but it is generally not an issue and is straight forward. But it is most definitely possible.

Trent L. Fine for development in my opinion.
