When I run it on the client I get an error that says it's looking for the Enterprise Client.dll, but the temp folder contains a file called Microfour Strataframe Enterprise.dll extracted from the .msm.

I think the wrong file is in the merge module or it's looking for the wrong one.
Just placing the assemblies directly into your install is a safer play anyway.

Trent L.
