White Screen of Death in designer using StrataListView control

Upon adding this control to any form I within a very short amount of time get a WSOD, have to close the designer, and reopen it. I have a very simple implementation of the control based on the sample you posted.

Eventually I get this error if I wait long enough: The designer loader did not provide a root component but has not indicated why.

I get the error upon adding the StrataListView control to any form, even before adding any related code. Any idea why, or how to avoid it?

Well, I use it so much that I get 500 warnings across applications since the beta tag is still on it. And I have not seen this, though I have seen this type of error before. I cannot give you a magic bullet on this one, but more that likely, you have two different versions of the UI Expanded assembly hanging around. Download the most recent build 1.7.0.6, be sure that it is installed and then make sure that you "smoke" every other UI Expanded assembly whether it be on disk or in the GAC.
