In this application the menu structure is data driven and the menu options that are exposed are dependent on the logged in user. If the user requests help then only help about the menu option they have selected is to be available. The client does not want the user to be able to navigate away from the current help topic to see a broader discussion of the application or help for other functions for which they do not have access permission.

Our current plan is to store rich text in a database field for each menu topic and display this when the user requests help for a menu item.

Any thoughts or ideas appreciated,

Andy
