It seems like an unnecessary complication.

Deactivation Error
A Database Deployment Toolkit license has already been deactivated via the web within the last 10 days.

Deactivation Notifications
The web deactivation process is only necessary when a network adapter has been destroyed or is no longer in a functional state. Only one web deactivation per license type is allowed every 10 days. Since the StrataFrame activation logic is tied to a MAC address of an ethernet adapter, after a computer is reformatted and the operating system reinstalled, you can reactivate without consuming another license as long as the same MAC address exists within the reformatted computer.

RE: Why limit web deactivations?

Web deactivations are designed to deactivate a computer that is no longer accessible. You are allowed as many "legal" activations and deactivations as you need. There are no limitations whatsoever. However, since the web deactivation cannot properly validate the computer is no longer in use, only one license can be forcibly deactivated from the website every 10 days. If for some reason your office building burns down and you really cannot access your computer for a true deactivation for multiple computers, we will be more than happy to manually deactivate your license manually so you can reactivate on your new computers.

Go through the normal deactivation process to move a license from computer to computer.

Trent L.
