I’m using SQL Server 2000 and VB
I un-installed SF and installed again (version 1.4.1) but I deleted the 3 databases, sf, internal and the sample.
Next I selected the Business Object Mapper from the StrataFrame Menu. Right clicked on the “ADPR" (that's the name of my project), clicked on NEW entered “ADPR” as the project name, selected “SQL Server”, entered ‘ADPR” for the description, and entered a SQL Server connection string”.
Then I select this ADPR and click on the SELECT button but my project on the BO Mapper page still have that red X, i can try to configure many times, but it never worked again, in all projects. Do you guys have any ideia of where i can look to check what may be happening? Maybe the new database...
Best,
Ricardo
Why did you delete the databases?
R - That's the same question i wonder for days..... too sad...
StrataFrame requires the StrataFrame and StrataFrameInternal databases in order to operate. Just so you know, when you load an update, the databases will be automatically updated even if they already exist.
R - I will remember..
Anyway, does your connection string within StrataFrame point to a server with the databases?
If you are talkin about that one that opens in the install.. yes, if you are talkin about my app yes...
Also, what service pack do you have on the server? We fixed an issue within the BO Mapper just the other day that had this exact same behavior. We have fixed the problem but won't have the new update on the website until Monday. The problem occured with Service Pack 3 on SQL Server 2000. If this is your situation, we will have an update on the website by the end of the day Monday.
R - SQL 2000, SP 4
