Greetings!

I received an "SQL Server Version 10 not supported (I believe this is SQLServer Express 2008)" error message on install. Is this correct - I cannot use StrataFrame with this version of the DB???

Thanks, Gary

The only part of StrataFrame that does not support 2008 is the Connection String Wizard.  If you manually supply the connection string it will work.  The final release of 1.6.7 will support SMO 10 which is the error you are getting.

Is it possible to have StrataFrame database on SQL 2008? I have backup of both StrataFrame and StrataFrameSamples databases from SQL 2005. I can restore it using management studio. However each tool (DDT etc.) tries to run Connection wizard to connect to Strataframe datastore - and it always fails as You mentioned in previous post. Is it possible to se the connection string manually? I can connect to StrataFrame database using *.udl file or with a testing application so the only problem seems to be modification of Connections.dat file (as far as I have found on this forum).

Can You help me, please?

Thanks

George

At the moment, it is best to leave the SF database on 2005.  The ConnectionStringWizard at the moment has assemblies that require the 2005 version of SMO which will produce an error.  This will be addressed in the next update.

OK, I'm going to install new SQL2005 instance and looking forward to new version - when can I expect new version release?

Thanks

George

Soon Smile  It will be before the release of the current beta.
