Is the CRM(or whatever name) still available? Will it work with the new version of the framework? Where can I find it if it is available? TIA

No.  You will want to look at the StrataFlix sample.  This replaces the CRM as the CRM wasn't a "real-world" sample in the way it was setup.   The StrataFlix sample is far more in depth and covers a lot more ground.  Also, the StrataFlix sample is the only one at the moment that is totally up to date with the beta.
