| | I have a new laptop with a 1920x1200 screen. Some of the forms (like the one that prompts for the location of the license dll, and the activation form) are cut off at the bottom and the right to the extent that 90% of the buttons are eclipsed by the bottom edge of the form. I haven't tried all of the others yet because I cannot activate until I get out from behind this firewall and proxy server. |

| The attached shot shows a form that (I think) is supposed to have buttons on it.

| I don't think it's an issue with your screen resolution, I think it has to do with the fact that you're not running Windows themes. We'll modify the form so that it draws properly with and without themes.

| | You're right. I never use themes and I remove them whenever possible. |

| Was this included in today's (12/12) download? I don't have themes on any of my systems and the only one that has this cutt-off problem is the one with the wuxga (1920x1200) screen. The single 1600x1200 and the dual monitor 1280x1024 do not exhibit the problem.

| Are these cut-off screens only being cut-off within the install? Or are they cut-off on other windows as well?

| | Daniel, We are trying to reproduce the issue you are having. We cannot get our windows to cut-off the lower half like you are seeing. We have themes turned off and running a resolution of 1920x1200 on a Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop with a 64 MB video card. Here is what we are seeing:
There is no logical reason for the window to be cut-off since we are not resizing anything. Can you think of anything else we can try to reproduce the problem? Are you running some type of service that sits on top of the windows forms like TweakXP or anything? |

| This is a very new D810. I've made a few performance related tweaks in the registry and turned off stuff like animation. I'm sure that you have figured out by now that I am a magnet for the wierd and unexpected.
For example (relative to my last email), the BO mapper won't start on the sample I started with the prior version. That is probably to be expected (but hopefully it will just be a one time thing).
On 2 machines and with a new BO Library project, I can launch the BO mapper but clicking on configure project does nothing. Obviously with that not working, there isn't much that I can do today.
I will check back here or you could email me if there is a way to get the mapper working, it's more important that the cut-off. |
