We just purchased an additional DDT license, we want to have one workstation that just has DDT activated. Basically someone is just going to be doing DB design, migration, and deploys. I played with it and have been unable to just activate the DDT without activating the entire framework.

Is this not possible or am I missing somthing?

Thank you.

The reason is that you already have two workstations with the DDT activated on the both.  You have purchased 2 framework licenses and 2 DDT licenses.  You will need to deactivate the DDT on one of the machines.  You can then activate the DDT on another computer.  You can email me directly to get the names of the computer's that the DDT is activated on.

To deactivate the DDT do the following:

  1. Click StrataFrame -> License Information within Visual Studio
  2. Click the Start Button
  3. A dialog will appear asking you which products you wish to de-activate.  Un-check the Application Framework.
  4. Click OK
  5. The DDT will then be de-activated on this computer while keeping the framework active
  6. Go to the computer you wish to activate the DDT on.
  7. Click the StrataFrame -> License Information menu item or click the shortcut from the All Programs -> MicroFour StrataFrame menu
  8. Click Start
  9. This will automatically activate the DDT on the machine without giving you a window since this is the only license remaining an there is no choice to make.
