Hi,
You mentioned in your announcement of version 1.5.2 that it would be released in January and I'd like to know if you have a release date yet? (I'm waiting for Italian pre-localization)

At the moment, we don't have a hard release date.  We're working on getting the Enterprise Server developer edition completed so that users can begin programming towards it.  But, yes, we are shooting for the end of January.

For info on the Enterprise Server see the following post

In a reply from Trent there is a link to a pdf that describes the server. Looks great... I'm already trying to find a way to get it in my budget.

Hi,

BY refering to other thread, the Enterprise Server is charged anually. Does it meant we got to pay the fee every year?

Yes, pricing is based on a per CAL (Client Access License) basis annually.  The developers SDK is free.  Actually, the Enterprise Server is competitively priced and will be very easy to implement.  The current pricing model was formulated with the help of our more experienced SF users.

With the advent of ES, when selling our medical software, it will no longer be necessary to force the end-user to purchase Citrix or expose SQL server to the internet.  Our medical division will also be consumers of ES and have based their pricing models accordingly.  For you, the developer, a single line of code provides worlds of scalability.

Hi,

How to say annual basis? Does it mean my client got to pay the same price for every year, or pay only if want to get upgrade?

Any pricing schema for 5 CALs?

Thank you

Yes, this means that the server must be purchased each year.  You can also purchase additional years up front.  As for a 5 CALs model, you would need to contact sales to see if they can do anything for you here.  At the moment we do not have an existing 5 CAL model, but you can talk with sales to see if there is anything they can do.
