| So Ok, we purchased a pair of licenses (Through my boss).
I'm unable to install the StrataFrame_DevEx6.1.5.exe file, it gets to the StrataFrame License File part, then fails when I click install.
To reduce the possibility of network issues, I've copied it to the root of my C drive.
When I press install, I get a lovely red box in the lower left corner saying "Invalid license", The specified file is an invalid license key. Then when I finally click cancel, it drops me out and uninstalls what I had installed.
So kinda stuck, tried going back and re-downloading the dll to install but that hasn't solved it.
I did search a bit, and found a post recommending putting it in the GAC, but it gives me a message about
---------------------------
Assembly Cache Viewer - Install failed
---------------------------
Access is denied: 'MicroFour StrataFrame License.dll'.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
When I try to grant .Net permissions to the DLL, it gives me a variety of messages, mainly indicating that it's not a valid .Net assembly.
So running out of ideas, hoping you guys might have some. |

| Is the file named "MicroFour StrataFrame License.dll"? Through some browsers, namely IE7, Opera and FireFox, the file does not always download correctly, and gets misnamed or misformatted when it's downloaded.

| Yup, that's the name it has. Tried re-downloading it again (Before yesterday's post), that didn't fix it. Compared file name in notepad, from Local machine / network machine / your post.
Assembly version: 1.3.0.0
I am trying to use it from a local copy, yesterday I had tried the network copy also, that failed also. |

| Can you drag your local copy into a Windows Explorer folder that is open to the C:\Windows\Assembly folder? That should attempt to register the file in the GAC.
