Hi All.

While I am waiting around for my license file, I have been demo-ing a Strataframe application for my client. Obviously, i could not demo the Business object Mapper for them because Strataframe is not activated. Now, they are thinking about buying 2 licenses and they want to know what happens if they decide to to renew the subscriptions in a year. Will the business object mappers stop working if they do not rewew their subscriptions?

TIA

Marcia

Hey Marcia,  I was sitting here working on your license and saw this come in.  To answer your question, no.  Even when your subscriptions expires, you can still activate and deactivate your product.  You just no longer have access to updates or support.  I am working through an issue on this side and will get your your license soon.  Thanks for your patience!

Hi Trent.

Thanks so much for the quick response. Sorry about being such a pest over the license.

I am probabaly going to be contacting you again over the weekend because I will need to de-activate the license on my laptop and re-activate it on my desktop.

That will not be an urgent matter.

I wish I knew what was up with that USB NIC chewing up 50% of the CPU on my lap top.

That's why I had to go through all this rigamarole in the first place.

You are a real prince among men.

Sheesh...yeah, that is not good on the processor speed!  It isn't a problem at all.  I worked through the issue on my side, so next time won't be an issue.  We recently made a ton of changes to our CRM environment and I....um....left some development flags set on my local machine that was, well, slowing me down Smile

Hi Trent.

Thank so much for all your help yesterday.

When I got home I was going to de-activate my Strataframe subscription and re-activate it using my USB NIC. However, I discovered that on my desktopm the Strataframe was still activated and tied to the USB NIC.

Was the reason the USB NIC was chewing up 50% of my CPU a buggette on your side and that it will no longer be a problem? You were a little ambiguous in your reply to me.

I want to be able to hit the ground running on Monday so do I need to de-activate and re-activate Stratafame in order to tie it to the USB NIC or should I take no action?

Thanks a million (before taxes!)

No ma'am.  All we do is reference the MAC address as it is tied to your license.  So there is really no way for us to "chew" up any CPU time.  It is a quick check.  Most likely, the issue is going to be driver and OS related.  You may want to check and see if there is a newer driver.  Many times Windows Automatic Update will download new drivers and or a "fix" that really means "screw the whole world up!"

You can if it is a different MAC that the one I sent you the license for the other day.  But if it is the same, then there should not be any reason to.  Just load the license I sent you and you should be good to go.
