I now have a couple Strataframe Window Apps behind me so I thought I would venture off and try my First Web App. I have read what I can on this site but I am not having much luck with my first attempt.
I changed the reference from Version 1.6 to 1.7 in the web.config and that cleared up many of the issues but I still have many to fix. I have attached 2 pictures that show many of the problems. I am just trying to run the default page.
The WebWarnings just shows you All or most of the warnings I am getting when I build the project.
The WebError is what shows up in the Browser when I attempt to run my project.
Can someone point me in the right direction since I have not found any info that fits my situation.

TIA.

OK....before you go any further.  Do not create a web site.  Make sure that you create a web project.  You will see this as an option in the same location as the standard WinForms SF applications.  It should be titled something like "StrataFrame Web Application Project".

This is quite different than a web site when working in the IDE and is much more forgiving and a much cleaner interface.

Next, go download the most recent Pre-Release in the My Account area.  I think that the templates have been updated and may save you some time.  This is a supported build and just doesn't have the docs updated.  But there are fixes and enhancements within the web environment.

I downloaded 1.7.3.4, uninstalled my current Strataframe and reinstalled version 1.7.3.4  .... I deleted my old project and made sure I created an SF Web Project and not a Web Site.
The Web.Config still refers to version 1.6.0.0 I changed all of them to be 1.7.0.0 but that just cleared up a few of the errors. Still many remain. I guess they are not errors but warnings(see attached).

I tried running the project and get the browser error(see attached).

Thank you for the prior help but I still need another nudge.

TIA.

Ivan I got that project working and that is why I decided to try my own project. I wanted to start out with something very simple and thus all of the errors. I am not sure how to take your project and simplify it so I can learn as I go?
Thanks for you help. Is there a way I can use your project as a beginning point? Please remember this my first venture into a Web Project.
TIA.

Hi Terry.

That is not my project, actually. It is the one that comes with SF, I just fixed the paths. I guess I added some new features to it in the past, like security and localization, but it is basically the one that comes with the framework.

This is a very simple project that shows you how to deal with BOs and such, so I guess you can really have a look around and build from there.

I'll start wading my way through the sample but someone might want to look at setting up a step by step tutorial for a web project like you have for the SF Framework.
Thanks for you help and I am sure I will be back.
