SFSProjects has to exist for the design-time editor...it is not required for run-time.  So just create this file in your other database.  You can get around the database name...as you discovered...through the Role-Based Editor menu items.  We force this to be StrataFrame through the primary editor, even though the connection is the same for each app, dur to new users thinking this connection is for their database rather than StrataFrame...which as we all know will cause a ton of errors.

I tried to add a new connection via the StrataFrame menu option for Database Connection but it would not allow me to change the database name ... it always wanted StrataFrame as an option.  Under the Role Based Security : File : Database Connections I can create a new connection to the FIGSecurity database but I get an error message saying the SFSProjects object does not exist.  Seems to be a Catch 22 ... do I have to install the entire Role Based Security application to FIGSecurity in order to do this?  Thanks,

You can swap your database connection back and forth.  So setup another database connection under the StrataFrame menu in VS.  Have it point to whichever server you want.  When you go into Role-Based Security, just select that connection, then swap it back when you want to do anything else.  That is pretty much the only way.

We purchased the Role Based Security Editor and I was wondering if there is anyway to point that product to edit the role based security information of another database besides StrataFrame?

For example, I'd like to be able to point the RBSE to the FIGSecurity database and use it to manipulate that data.
