Hey Alex.

Glad you got it working.

And welcome to the gang. Cool

Ah, please, tell Luiz I sent him some info about a Report Engine.

Abraços.

It's possible that it might be that SQL Server 2000 does not like the command that we are using to retrieve the solution preferences.

Problem Solved! Smooooth
  1. Installed a Named Instance of SQL Express 2005
  2. Installed the StrataFrame databases onto it.
  3. Changed the Database Connections of StrataFrame design-time to point to the new SQL 2005 instance.
  4. Now the Solutions Preferences is working on every licensed machine, and we're able to setup the projetc's localization, security, etc...

The solutions databases still reside on our main SQL Server 2000 instance. As I've tracked, maybe it's an issue related to data type trying to be casted or converted by the "Solutions Preferences" core.

Best regards to all.

You indicated that you are having the same issue on 3 machines, so does it work on any machines on your network?  Have you actually tried to map a BO?  It sounds strange to me that only the Solution Preferences would not work.  Any additional information you could provide would be helpful.  Thanks.

Greetings,

I'm having the same issue in 3 machines. When clicking the Solution Preferences at StrataFrame menu, nothing happens. I've checked the database connection and it's correct, pointing to StrataFrame database. Everything works but the Solution Preferences.

  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
  • StrataFrame 1.6.1 latest release 07/07/07
  • SQL Server 2000 SP3 (not local)
  • C# Solution

Thanks.
