Guess will need to uninstall and re-install again, unless there is any other way to have the SF database updated?

I can't recall off of the top of my head, but the Repair may let you do this without having to first uninstall.

Edhy, you should always update the StrataFrame structures when loading a new release from at least one machine.  The check was added so that shops that have a lot of developers don't have to update the structures each time, but you should always update your structures with any new update we release...this is the downside of letting this be an option Smile

Hi Larry,

Good to hear from you.  The 1.6.5 environments will work just fine on the 1.6.6 beta structures on the framework side as we only changed some preferences.  The structure changes for the DDT are more in-depth with new fields and tables.  But this should not cause you any issues.  The only potential issue I would see if you have multiple developers working on the DDT as you would want everyone to be on the latest version.

Can v1.6.5 development environments share the same StrataFrame database with the v 1.6.6 environment/client? In other words will updating the SF database cause problems for developers running v1.6.5?

The most common issue that I have seen is when people don't update their StrataFrame table structures, and there were changes to the preferences, so if you didn't load them you will have this type of issue.

Yes you are right, I did not update SF database during this upgrade, since there was not indication in the upgrade list to do so.

Guess will need to uninstall and re-install again, unless there is any other way to have the SF database updated?

Thanks for the info.

Not a 1.6.5.1 bug...this is the same thing that is has always done when there is an error loading an assembly or an error occurs in the DTE.  I am willing to get that you either did not update your StrataFrame table structures or you have a rogue BO.  But this is not a bug...there is an issue in your DTE environment.  As you will find on numerous other posts, when an error occurs in the DTE it is very difficult to trap.  The most common issue that I have seen is when people don't update their StrataFrame table structures, and there were changes to the preferences, so if you didn't load them you will have this type of issue.

When clicking the ellipsis button for the PopulationDataSourceSettings property, the BO selection form just flashes not allowing the selection of the BO population method.

Please see video in this link:
