I completely agree with you on the Citrix issue!  That is why we are dedicated to coming up with solutions to move away from them!!! Smile

Trent,

I’ve pinged Infragistics again and gave them your e-mail address. I’ll give them one more chance before I give up and write my own wrapper or buy some DevExpress licenses. Let me know if you hear anything.

Thanks for the info on the enterprise server. Scalability is not an issue for me but remote access is. IMHO Citrix is not only frustrating to implement and maintain, their licensing model makes it way too expensive.

Looking forward to the new release!

Has Infragistics contacted you lately regarding the wrapper for Net Advantage? They keep telling me that they’re working with you. If they’re just blowing smoke my way it’s probably time to dump them and go with DevExpress.

Not so much as a peep from them.  I think they are just telling you this to make you go away Ermm  You are more than welcome to give them my direct email.  They should already have it, but I don't think they actually want to work with us.

Are we getting close to the next release of StrataFrame? I’m looking forward to the new security enhancements and hopefully “warning messages” for business rules

We are probably still a couple weeks out of having the official release available.  There are a lot of new features that will be included and we want to get the documentation up to date.

The planned middle tier enterprise server looks interesting. Do you anticipate that it will provide sufficient performance over VPN or Internet connections eliminating the need for something like Citrix? If so do you have any estimate of what the licensing costs will be?

We have designed this from the beginning to get rid of Citrix.  We currently have to use Citrix with our medical system and it is an added cost and a frustrating experience every time.  This server will even work without a VPN.  I have attached a white paper going over the features (if you haven't already found it elsewhere).  To get an estimate cost you can contact Bob Davis.  The licensing is different than the framework.  It is explained in the white paper, but basically one license will allow it to be used on 8 servers.  Just like the framework, activations can be moved around.

No issues, just a few questions.
