This is built into the Enterprise Server.  There is an option for encryption and another for compression.  So if you don't want to have to write any of this, then the ES is the most simple solution.  Otherwise, if this is a controlled environemnt (i.e. two remote offices) then a VPN might be your best bet and easiest road to travel.

Hi Trent,

When using smart clients forms how can we make sure that the data is Encrypted when it travels from the client into the server. In my case I am using ms sql 2008 enterprise 64 bits. Did you develop any algorithm to handle that? I am sure the Smart Client Enterprise Server can handle that. For my needs there will be only 2 users to work with the smart client app.

Regards,

Doron
