Thank you. I went into my account and deactivated the software. Then went and tried to activate and All is Well.

Thanks again.

You are trying to activate on a NIC other than the one originally activated.  Make sure that you are activating on the same NIC.  Also, you can do a manual deactivation through the My Account area if necessary and try again.

First, what is the error that you are getting when trying to activate?  If you have a proxy, then that could be the issue.  Secondly, StrataFrame will install on whichever database you direct it to during the installation.  So if you direct the install towards your 2008 instance, then that is where it will load.

I am a snow bird and I just tried to activate my copy of Strataframe on my desktop at my summer home and it gives me an error. I am using the same ethernet dongle that I used at my winter home so I am not sure what I need to do.?

One other thing, I have both SQL 2005 and 2008 installed on this desktop. I downloaded the newest beta version of StrataFrame from my account since it supports 2008. Will it automatically install the databases into 2008?

I uninstalled the old version of Strataframe before I started installing the newest version.

TIA.
