The wrapper will only benefit you if you are using WinForms.  The wrapper provides native StrataFrame binding to the most common Infragistics controls.  If you are developing purly in a web environment then it will not buy you anything.  Hope that makes sense.

Interesting that you are using the Infragistics wrapper. Would you be kind enough to explain the benefits over using the native Infragistics controls? Don't want to miss out on anything

I have no issue with the quality or reliability of the beta releases; they are excellent I just don't like using them to develop production code because they are in a state of flux. I think there have been eight or nine incremental releases of 1.6.7. I have five developers and our applications use the SF Enterprise server. At a minimum changes to the framework require updating the developer workstations. A new release may also "break" and require updating the Enterprise server which in turn requires recompiling, testing and redistributing existing applications. We also use a modified version of the Infragistics wrapper. The effort required to keep everything in sync is something I like to avoid as much as possible. That's why I prefer to wait for the "official" release before updating our environment and the reason for my initial post

Larry, I never view the SF betas as "betas" as they are very stable. I quite happily use the SF betas in our production software and have never had any problems.

Technically it is. The only reason that we have not made it official on the SF site is because we have not updated the samples. This code has been in production for quite a while now. We are actually going to change how we release samples in the future so that this doesn't happen again in this fashion.



The 1.6.7 is a fully-supported and recommended build. We will try and make it more official very quickly so as to remove any doubt.

Version 1.6.7 has been in beta for some time; any estimate as to when it will become an official release?
