The Date type should be supported on version 1.7.3, so I am forward this to the guys to have a look and will let you know as soon as I get something.

Cheers.

I tried importing a SQL 2008 database that contains type Date fields. The DDT (v1.7.3.1) imports the Date field as type "Int" with a length of 3. If you set a field as type Date in the DDT it shows a field length of 0 and doesn't display any default options. I'm assuming that the import is a bug but I'm wondering if SF will support the Date type in SF controls, similiar to the way the DateTime type is supported (i.e., 01/01/1800 as the null value).
