Yes, please do.  We currently have a test lab setup and are testing on every platform, including Vista.  Not only are we testing StrataFrame but our medical system on all of these platforms.

If we find a machine to test it on in the office I will post our results.

VS2005 SP1 alone is just fine.  It is when you throw Vista into the mix that trouble has been coming up.  Vista will ultimately be a wonderful platform, but there will be some pain at first Smile

I'm afraid and waiting for others to test it before applying.

Thanks for the info.  I wouldn't be running on Vista, yet.  I can definately wait for the update.  How about applaying the SP to an XP machine?

One more thing....there are know issues between Vista and SQL Server Express.  SP2 for SQL Server Express is supposed to resolve the issues but has not been officially released yet.  You can get a CTP, but not an RTM of the SP2.

Has anyone updated to SP1 for VS2005 yet?

We have one machine running Vista and VS2005 SP1.  It runs, but there are some issues.  The developer running with this configuration in our office is frustrated as the machine has a tendency to "throw-up."  It just isn't 100% stable as of yet.  We also threw Office 2007 in the mix as well which we have had some additional issues.

Is there any issues or special actions that need to be taken when StrataFrame is installed already?

We have made some changes to the framework, specificaly in the DDT and data deployment areas, to support Vista.  There are differences in the default encoding which can cause some issues.  We can get you a build that has full Vista support if this is critical to your current needs.  But I recommend waiting until we release the 1.5.2 update in January.
