After i finish installation for trial version, i try to open Database Deployment Toolkit.

When i open it, the following error message came out.

This used to be one of the more common problems with the DDT when users would change their connection string within Visual Studio to some database other than StrataFrame.  We did change it to where you can no longer select a database other than StrataFrame, but I would recommend opening Visual Studio and checking Database Connection option under the StrataFrame menu to make sure that your connection string has not changed to point to a database other than StrataFrame.

Just FYI to add to Ben's post, you change your connection string from within Visual Studio, the connection establish here is used for the Framework, DDT, Role-Based Security, and Localization.  To change your connection string, do the following:

1. Open Visual Studio
2. Click the StrataFrame menu
3. Click Database Connection...
4. Select the StrataFrame Data Store and click Edit... (if it already exists otherwise click Add...)
5. This will bring up the Database Connection Wizard
6. Click Next past the first page
7. Enter the server and login information...note you will not be able to change the database
   
   
   
8. Click next and then Finish
9. Select the StrataFrame Data Store from the list again and then click Select

Note: The reason this can get out of "whack" so to speak is that we do not prevent the database from being changed within the DDT if you go through this same process.

Note 2: If you go through this process and it still doesn't work, then the StrataFrame database is not in the server you specified.  Make sure that the StrataFrame database exists within the server to which you are specifying the connection....this should be the same server credentials that you provided during the installation.
