I have tried Twitter, but I do not like it. If you want to use Twitter, that is fine, but please do not replace your email updates with a 140-character blurb. Twitter, in my opinion, belittles the content. The name itself is a mockery of the potential content.

Just because a technology is available does not mean we have to use it.

Afraid I have to agree. I would much prefer the non-twitter approach with a direct email (or forum posting) announcing new updates. I check the forums virtually daily but I can't see this happening with twitter.

Sorry about that but I guess I am too old Smile

Wow....actually I guess that I never did make myself very clear.  First of all, we will not replace emails.  Second, I am not a personal fan of Twitter but we have been receiving a fair amount of pressure to support Twitter, so it will just be another avenue, not a replacement.

We prefer emails and RSS feeds to Twitter and Facebook no question.  But for those who know me, you may already have heard some of my Twitter rants (in regards to not being a fan), so this will in no way be a replacement.

Thanks for your comments as this definitely does tell me what the majority prefers.  Thanks! BigGrin
