I am unable to open any visual designer after installing 1.6.1, this applies to SF and non SF projects.



I can only see code view.



Help please.

Have you gotten the corrected Extensibility & AddIns dlls from the following post and restarted VS?

Sorry I thought that an install downloaded this AM would have these fixes, my bad.



Anyhow... I downloaded and installed the two assemblies in those posts, restarted VS, then restarted my PC, no effect. I still cant see any designers (forms, BO's, etc).



VS2005 SP1

XP SP2 (patched to date)



Any help you can give is appreciated, I cannot work at this time.

It would have.  Keith, did your database get updated?  Make sure that the pref_ShowBOFullName field was added to the DTEPreferences table.  If not, then your databases did not get updated.  We had some structure changes to the StrataFrame database this last go around which could be causing your problem.

The database was updated.



I have several SQL servers, only one of which I have updated so far, so on a whim I just made sure that the SF Data Store was using the updated SQL Server (my "main" server) and it was, but just going through the wizard again seems to have fixed the problem as I am now OK. I don't understand it, but I'll take it
