Hi all,
I've been working with Trent on this but could not come up with a resolution before he had to jet out on a family emergency. I know this isn't a priority, but I was showing a programming friend of mine the Sample Console after upgrading to 1.6 and errors occur on almost all of the links in the StrataFrame UI Controls (There is a lot more to the message, but basically it is a SQLException: Invalid object name 'customers'). When I click on the Advanced ListView Population under Grids and Lists, the customers load (parent records), but when I click on a customer that has child records, WHAMO! This time I get SQLException: Invalid object name 'products'. Here are the things Trent and I have gone through thus far:
1. Deleted the appkeys.dat and connections.dat under C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\MicroFour\ConnectionData. Reconnected under VS and when running the Samples and problem still exists.
2. Removed StrataFrame and StrataFrameSample databases from SQL Server 2005 Express SP2 and downloaded the latest StrataFrame installation then ran the installation. Both databases were created successfully, still the same problem.
3. Completely uninstalled StrataFrame, removed all left over folders in Common Files, Program Files, Profile folders, etc. Removed both databases from my SQL Server. Searched for StrataFrame and MicroFour in the registry and removed all entries. Ran a registry cleaner to clean up anything I may have missed. Restarted my computer and checked for a new StrataFrame installation (which there was), downloaded and installed StrataFrame. Ran the Samples and still have the problem.
That is pretty much where we left it. Trent thought it may be some type of connection with the database issue (like connecting to an older version or something), but I only have one instance of SQL Server and the setup recreates the databases each time without any issues. Plus, I can connect to both to them (StrataFrame database in VS2005 and StrataFrameSample when I try to run the first Sample after installation).
Anybody have any ideas? I was a little embarrassed trying to show off the Samples. However, I was able to run the CRM Sample application without any problems at all and that really impressed him. I told him it was a brand new version and the other Samples were probably something to do with my setup.
TIA,
James Moore
